So it's nearing Winter here in the hinterlands of Up-North Minnesota. The Fall colors which were once the forest canopy now comprise the forest floor... Woodland critters scamper about foraging for those last bits of precious food. They might be the subjects for future pictures.
I noticed that DeviantArt doesn't re-size pictures ~ which is nice in a way but it's also hard to look at poster-size photos on a standard computer screen. So I'll probably replace all the photos in my gallery with 640x480 versions so everyone can have a chance to view these photos without having to scroll.
One other note regarding my architecture / waterscape / nature pictures is that they're all un-edited. I took a little pride in that because I wanted to be able to capture an image exactly as I wanted it to appear. In most of my work, I'm quick to Photoshop the lighting or the colors or even erase bits and pieces of background (or foreground) that I didn't like. But not this time. I tried to get the right time of day for the pictures I wanted to take, and positioned the camera to get artistic shots which also used objects in the picture to block out certain background elements. Overall, I think I got the look I wanted.
Part of me is just itching to go in and make some "minor adjustments" to all of those photos but I think I'm going to let them be - aside from reducing their size.
